High expectations: We take a lot of pride around here in being a small family run hunting operation with no desire to grow beyond our means. The goal has always been to grow at a rate we could handle and still maintain a high level of service. It's not always easy to reel in my own enthusiasm, but I believe keeping this thing in perspective has helped us be able to provide a consistent product to our hunting clients.
What it's all for: Job number one around here is to glorify God in all that we do. We enjoy what we do and realize how blessed we are to be able to do it. We strive to treat others the way we would want to be treated, provide the kind of service we look for and make every outing something memorable for all involved. We're a family friendly operation and we encourage you to get your kids out in the field with you whenever possible.

Less than a week before the scheduled hunt, I get an email from Tim saying he was overbooked with a deer hunt. (IE, he received an offer to guide a deer hunt, which would generate much more revenue for his operation). I had been on Tim's calendar for over two months, and my name was even displayed on his online calendar. I demanded an explanation, but Tim simply referred me to another guide (which was twice the cost and twice the distance from my house). I tried to call Tim to discuss, but he repeatedly ignored my calls and did not return my messages. I was very disappointed with the terrible customer service.
Luckily, I was able to book with Schmidt Double T Ranches. That operation was fantastic! We had a great time, and I look forward to booking again in the future. I wouldn't book with Deacon's Point - call up Schmidt Double T for the best hunt around. Deacon's point is not worth the frustration.
