• 8 whole doves
  • 16 slices of bacon
  • 8 jalapenos
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. cumin

Combine pepper, garlic, onion, salt, and cumin in a small bowl. Rub mixture on to the doves. Slice the jalapenos in half and place each half back to back inside each dove. Wrap each dove with 2 slices of bacon ensuring that the jalapeno will not come out. Secure the bacon with toothpicks. Place dove on a hot grill and cook until done. *Note: A good fajita seaoning such as Fiesta Brand or HEB's Fajita seasoning may also be used.
