Stasney's Cook Ranch is 25,000 acres of authentic Texas! Founded in the late 1800's by W. I. and Matilda "Dude" Nail Cook, its history as a great cattle and oil ranch is as big and colorful as Texas.
There are many ways to enjoy the Ranch: Birding, Biking, Hiking, Hunting, Wildlife Tours, Retreats and Special Events. Check out the photo album of recent events and activities on the ranch! Plan a wedding, meeting or event in our dining and activity center, "The Cook Shack."
A mild climate and plentiful vegetation supports cattle and abundant wildlife including bison, deer, wild boar, turkey, quail, dove, bobcat, coyote, and raccoon. Geographic location makes the Ranch home to birds found in the eastern and western half of the United States and brings migratory birds from all points of the compass.
Distance from major cities has left the air clean and clear to enjoy crisp mornings, the sweet smell of rain, vibrant sunsets, and an awesome view of the stars. Stasney's Cook Ranch is a rare gem. It is a slice of creation and the old Texas frontier that most people never get to see and you won't want to miss!
