High Flying Outfitters
All of our hunts originate at Dumas, Texas in the Texas Panhandle. We are located 45 miles north of Amarillo, Texas on Highway 287. You may reserve accomodations at one of a number of fine motels in Dumas. Please inquire with us about which establishments provide reduced rates for our clients.
Our goose hunts all take place in area fields of corn, winter wheat, milo, and soybeans. We have huge numbers of wintering geese (500,000 across the Texas Panhandle). Out extensive scouting insures your chances of a successful hunt. We do not hunt the same properties day after day, but go to great lengths to cycle birds in different areas. We house large numbers of Canadians, Snows, and Blues, with occasional Speckle Bellies and Black Brandts.
Another area of hunting is our pheasant season, which begins early in December and has recently been extended all the way into January. These hunts can be conducted in one of two ways: as an upland experience throughout the day or as a combination goose and pheasant hunt. Our combination hunts consist of waterfowling in the morning and upland hunting in the afternoon. These hunts are quite enjoyable, but make for a very full day.
We are very proud of what we do and how we do it. If you are looking for an intense waterfowl or upland hunting experience, you have come to the right place. All of our guides are knowledgeable about the country and the birds that winter here. If we can answer any questions please feel free to call.
