• 1 1/2 lbs. venison round steak, cut into thin strips
  • 4 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 small yellow or white onion, finely chopped
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 (4 oz.) can diced green chilies, drained
  • 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/4 c. Worcestershire sauce
  •  12 four or corn tortillas

    Optional ingredients:
  • cheddar cheese
  • sour cream
  • lettuce
  • tomato
  • diced red onion

    Heat two tablespoons of oil in a large skillet. Add the meat and cook until brown. Remove the meat and add the remaining oil, mushrooms, and onion to the skillet. When the mushrooms become tender add the venison, chilies, tomatoes, garlic powder, salt, chili powder, and Worcestershire sauce to the skillet; cook for ten minutes stirring occasionally. Heat tortillas and serve with meat mixture and optional ingredients.
