Schmidt Double T Ranches are located  in the very center of Texas, in the beautiful hill country near Mason and Menard.  The surrounding rolling hills are covered with live oak and mesquite trees, cacti and in the spring, bluebonnets.  We are 2 1/2 hours northwest of San Antonio - your designation for airline travel. 
 
In Central Texas, our temperatures vary greatly.  In the fall, you can expect 30 to 70 degree weather.  In the spring, you can expect 50 to 80 degree weather.  Our normal rainfall is from 20 to 26 inches per year. 

Family operated, the Schmidt Double T Ranches manage 6700 high fence acres made up of the Schmidt Double T Ranches, K-Doc Ranch and the Harkey Ranch.  These ranches have comfortable lodges with central heat and air, single beds, satellite TV and VCR.  
 
Our ranches are working cattle ranches as well as being intensely managed for trophy whitetail bucks, Rio Grande turkeys, and bobwhite quail.
