The Broken T Ranch was bought by the Wardlaw brothers in 1936. It is adjacent to our grandmother's ranch and other family lands, which were homesteaded in the late 1860s. The Broken T is located on the southern edge of the Edwards Plateau region of central Texas in Edwards County. It is 30 miles south of Rocksprings, Texas; a two-hour drive from Kerrville, Texas and a six-hour drive from Houston, Texas. Driving directions can be mailed or faxed to our guests upon request.
The topography consists of flats to rolling hills to rough box canyons. The dominant vegetation includes several types of oak trees, cedar and grasses. There is land and game management that includes brush control, water resources, supplemental feeding, livestock rotation and population control of livestock and deer. With open range and some high fence, the Broken T Ranch has been under game management since 1995, planned and coordinated with help from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. The ranch is managed for high quality 8 point or better white tailed deer, wild turkey, exotic game and Beef Master cattle.
