The Nail Ranch has been a working cattle ranch for well over one hundred years. The traditions of the old west are still alive and well, and very apparent as you make your way through the backcountry of this vast land. The Nail has a wide diversity of terrain which encompasses everything from the gentle rolling grasslands to the rugged and rocky out-croppings that overlook the Clearfork of the Brazos river. Its 56,000 acres of prime habitat are home to many native species of wildlife. A typical three day hunt will allow you to see three hundred deer (one third of which are bucks), several hundred wild hogs, as well as turkeys, quail, ducks, coyotes, bobcats, and many other non-game animals. All wildlife are native to the area and are hunted under fair chase conditions. The ranch has no high fences or released game. Our goal is to provide a quality hunt for a quality animal. We believe that a hunting trip should be more than the simple harvesting of an animal; it should be a quality hunting experience.
