Lone Star Camp is located on the Franklin Ranch in the South Texas Brush Country. This working ranch, owned by the Franklin family since 1868, received a Texas Historical Marker in 1967. Native wildlife includes trophy-quality whitetail deer, javelina, quail, turkey, & hundreds of resident & migrant birds. Please follow the links below to learn more about the hunting & outdoor recreational opportunities available at Craig Franklin's Lone Star Camp in McMullen County, Texas.

Hunts are available for whitetail deer, quail, spring turkey, javelina, and feral hog. Deer hunts are one-on-one guided, and are usually for 2.5-4 days, but can be customized to meet your needs. Hunts are inclusive of lodging, meals, guides, transportation on the ranch, and game cleaning & packaging. Guests need bring only personal effects, guns, ammunition, a current Texas hunting license and enthusiasm!   Our hunts are for mature whitetail bucks. We follow a management plan that is very simple:  within reason, we don't harvest any bucks until they are at least 5 years old. A few management bucks are also harvested as necessary. All hunting on this ranch is fair chase (low fence).
